Best Friends

Best Friends   -    Payne and the Patio Door

'Is it better that if Madeleine wakes up she can get out?’

Kate McCann and Fiona Payne could by all accounts be considered best friends.  Of the group of friends who travelled to Praia da Luz in Portugal in 2007 it is Fiona who Kate was closest to, and remains so.

It was Fiona Payne who stayed with Kate in the apartment on the night Madeleine disappeared to comfort her while others searched.

It was Fiona Payne and husband David Payne’s apartment the McCanns slept, spent the night with their twin children after Madeleine’s disappearance.

It was Fiona Payne and family who remained in Portugal with the McCanns after Madeleine was reported as missing delaying the date they were scheduled to return to the UK by a few weeks.

It was Fiona Payne who attended Court in Portugal with Kate McCann.

It was Fiona Payne, who after Day 2 of the ‘Hearing’ was drafted in to be at Kate's side, to speak on her behalf to the media, when Gerry McCann in an angry display outside the Court vehemently denied that his wife had a dream re Madeleine being buried on a hillside in Portugal - this had been revealed in Court and had set McCann off.   He thereafter hurriedly returned to the UK, leaving Kate to face the music.

It was Fiona Payne who together with Kate McCann was rude to the elderly Mrs Fenn who lived in the apartment above the McCann holiday apartment, on the night of Madeleine's disappearance, the lady who offered assistance and who was later mocked and demeaned by Kate McCann in her book 'Madeleine.'

Why?

Why would Kate McCann do such a horrid thing to an elderly lady?

Why did she feel the need to further insult and demean this elderly lady publicly in her book?  A lady who had done her no harm.

This lady, Mrs Fenn was a witness in the case, she had heard, coming from the McCann apartment, the sound of a child crying for over an hour on ONE of the FIVE nights the McCann children were left alone by their parents, the child was crying out for her daddy.

Mrs Fenn died weeks before 'Madeleine' the book where Kate McCann belittles her, hit the shelves.

The behaviour of Kate McCann has always come across as rather disturbing, her treatment of others, her actions not what one would expect of an intelligent, professional medical doctor.  Not the actions of a kind and caring person, a loving mother.   Not what one would consider normal behaviour -  a hint of something which runs much deeper?

Was it Kate McCanns intention to intimidate a witness by writing such a nasty disparaging piece about someone who had offered help, who had simply inquired as to what was happening on the night Madeleine disappeared, but who ALSO had given police an honest account of what she had heard coming from the McCann apartment - a child/ren crying.  A child crying out for her daddy.  Crying which lasted ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES.

Clearly there were NO half hourly checks by the McCann parents on this night!

Mrs Fenn knowing that the McCann couple did NOT check every half hour as they stated to police and everyone else, the media - A reason for Kate McCann to act unkindly towards this elderly lady in the way she did?

Even still what type of person behaves in such a way, and to put it in her book?

I diversify for a moment.  I heard a news clip today about Oscar Pistorius - the reporter said, Pistorius has been reading the bible and has spent a lot of time of late going over what has happened TO HIM!

Not what happened to the young woman Reeva whom he shot and killed whose life he so callously took, but thinking about what has happened to HIM!

Kate McCann, she too began reading bibles, carving paths to church, and wanting, like Pistorius, to tell the world about her, what happened to HER - NOT what happened to Madeleine.  She did so both in her book and in her diary - wrote about Kate!

Pistorius too has his spin doctor, ex Sun would you believe, spinning faster than a hamster on a wheel.   So many similarities in the cases.

So yes, indeed, the pair Kate McCann and Fiona Payne are not only best friends, but both clearly take pleasure in treating others badly.  Seems, both the very young and the very old the most vulnerable in society are easy targets.

It is therefore interesting as to why they do remain close friends when taking into account the rather damning statement which Fiona Payne gave to Leicestershire Police, where she completely contradicts statements made by both Kate and Gerry McCann with regards the unlocked door.

Fiona Payne and the patio doors is quite an intriguing read.  It makes one wonder as to why the McCanns have never addressed the matter, never instructed their solicitors Carter Ruck to send her a “friendly” letter?

In the case of missing Madeleine though we have come to understand that the story line can change and quite dramatically so if that is what is needed at any particular time and to serve any particular purpose.

And we have also come to understand that their paid mouthpiece in charge of reputation management, in charge of damage limitation, the one and only Clarence Mitchell will make 'ludicrous' (Clarence' catch phrase) statements such as, that they have been 'utterly honest and utterly open' that anything the police investigation have found or may find, the McCanns will have an "innocent explanation" for!

The man must also be in charge of a crystal ball!

We have witnessed entire versions of events already related to police and recorded by police, changed with seeming ease, not an eyelid batted as they do so.  Not slight changes, little discrepancies in a story being corrected, but what could be viewed as whopping great lies.

Gerry McCann changing his story his police witness statement re which door he entered the apartment on the the night of Madeleine's disappearance, days after giving police his first statement, but one example.

How could this man forget which door he entered by?  Not possible!

But the doors, front and back (patio) of Apartment 5A have become somewhat central to the case - almost revolving!

Payne and the patio doors is another instance where a 'door story' doesn't add up.

http://www.mccannfiles.com/id252.html

Fiona Payne to Leicestershire Police speaking of what Kate McCann told her at the dinner table on the night Madeleine was reported as missing regarding leaving the patio door unlocked:

“She did, she brought it up and that she, I mean this is awful in retrospect as well, she asked what my opinion was on, erm, tut, on whether they were okay leaving the, the doors unlocked, because she was saying ‘ Is it better that if Madeleine wakes up she can get out and find us or erm, locking it and, you know, finding that we’re not there and the door’s locked if she woke up.’

Either, Payne lied to the police in Leicestershire when giving her statement (as above) at her interview in April 2008, an interview requested by the Portuguese authorities in a Rogatory Letter.  Or, Kate and Gerry McCann lied when being interviewed by Ryan Turbridy on the Late Show 13th May 2011 and at other times in this regard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLvnfcl-Zkg

Kate McCann interview on Late Show:

“And even if they want to say theoretically ‘Oh she (Madeleine) wandered out of the back door of the apartment’ basically saying a three year old has:

Opened the long curtains, closed them behind her.

Opened the patio doors, closed them behind her.

Opened the gate at the top of the stairs, closed it behind her.   (A child security gate)

And, done the same at the bottom, it’s just not, it’s just not possible!”

What is not possible is for both Kate McCann and Fiona Payne to be telling truth.

We therefore must ask - Who had most to gain by not being truthful?

We must look at the timing of these statements, what was going on in the case at the particular time.

If Payne has been completely honest in her statement made in 2008 a follow up of her police witness statement in Portugal of 2007, and Kate McCann did in fact at the table that evening sit and discuss with Payne of how she had left the patio door unlocked to allow Madeleine to exit the apartment, then the McCanns have lied back then, and at later times.

We must not forget that other female members of the party also told police, confirmed that Kate McCann had in fact told them the tale of the unlocked patio door.  That they also heard at that time, Kate McCann speaking of the ‘crying incident’ of Madeleine telling her mummy and daddy that very morning that she, Madeleine and Sean had been crying the previous night when their parents were out dining, asking of them – ‘Where were you when me and Sean were crying?’

So, did ALL of these female members of the group get together and lie about what Kate McCann said?

Why would they?

Did Kate McCann spin them this tale to plant a seed?

Why would she?

Or did Kate McCann with the female members of the group, her friends/acquaintances collude in this?

If Payne, the most vocal has lied to police in UK:

Was it in some way to protect the McCanns by agreeing their story of the unlocked patio door, not fully appreciating the consequences of including in the story, that the door was left unlocked to allow Madeleine to exit, not knowing that at some point in the future the McCanns would require to change this story, would deny this?  Deny it as it would be damning when the issue of child neglect was raised.

To admit they had left the door unlocked was one thing, to admit they had left it unlocked so that Madeleine could exit and go look for them in the dead of night, a vulnerable little three year old girl – quite another.

Did Payne an intelligent female, a medical professional, just fail to see the bigger picture that her statement would come back to bite her on the ass, that if she was lying in this regard, that she would be found out?  Not seeing also, that even if being truthful in her account, that if the McCanns changed their story they would hang her out to dry?   Which is exactly what has happened most recently in their interview on the Late Show and at other times prior to this.

McCanns, for the purpose of their abduction story required the window and shutter to be jemmied, the patio door to be unlocked, allowing entry/exit points for the alleged abductor, which is perhaps a reason as to why, if true, she did tell the others this story at the table that evening.

After the collapse of Kate’s tall tale of the jemmied shutter and window, which forced their spokesman Clarence Mitchell to retract their previous statements regarding the shutters being jemmied, which they had wrongly, and knowingly so, repeatedly stated to the media over a period of some weeks as being the truth of matters -  the patio door being unlocked, became much more crucial to their story.  (we will get to Kate’s tall tales of broken shutters, red herrings a little later)

But it would also mean if Kate McCann for shall we say more sinister purposes, their agenda told the females in the group, such a tale at this point in time, during the meal, and before Madeleine was reported as missing,  that “something” had already happened to Madeleine!

These people are, that is the McCanns and the Payne's close friends (not so the others in the group) it is almost certain that they would have spoken to each other discussed what should be said, before these Rogatory Interviews took place.

And almost a certainty one would think that they would have if something had already happened to Madeleine before the meal on the 3rd May 2007, have known about it!

David Payne we know at least according to his police statement visited Kate McCann that evening at her apartment at 6:30 pm whilst her husband Gerry was at tennis.

Why?

He stated the three McCann children were sitting in their pyjamas at that time, ready for bed.

In so doing this makes David Payne the last person the investigation know of, outwith the McCann family, to have seen Madeleine alive on that day!

Did he really see the McCann children?

Did he really see them ALL alive and well?

It is blatantly obvious that from the beginning and throughout that there has been collusion.

Why did Fiona Payne tell her damning tale of the patio doors?

and

Why did Kate McCann tell quite a different one?

Why do they remain Best Friends?

Or is it partners in crime?

Food for thought:

If the McCanns had genuinely left the patio door unlocked, and Kate McCann did indeed speak of this to the others at the dinner table - saying that the purpose was so that Madeleine could exit the apartment.  Is it not then a possibility that the child did exactly that exited by the unlocked patio door, an accident occurring perhaps on the steep stairs/the garden area below?  Madeleine later being found?

What ever is the truth of matters, one truth remains - they ain't both telling it!

Mrs Payne and Mrs McCann have some explaining to do methinks - to the police,  Portuguese PJ and the British Met!

As Clarence said - 'They have innocent explanations for everything'    Let's hear them!

Knock Knock.
Who's there?
McCann
McCann who?
McCann't remember which door I've to go through!
