Lying in the Sun

Kate's Curtains

Kate McCanns Curtains

WHOOSH!

Always good to remind ourselves at this time of year, the lead up to the anniversary of Maddie's disappearance, a time when the parents sofa surf and spin, spin like tops, while lying like rugs, as the song goes!

(Funny when I hear that song Spinning Like a Top - Devil Makes Three I always think of McCanns -  Chorus - Here's to not getting caught, doc its only a graze.  Spinning like a top, running like a villain and the years are going by like days.)

Moving on, just a little reminder about that crazy curtain story as told by Kate McCann.

According to her story (or rather one of her stories) as she stood outside the bedroom door where her children slept, and just as she was closing it over - BANG it slammed closed.

As in all good pantomimes Kate McCann played her part, and she LOOKED BEHIND HER, over her shoulder, to see if she had left the PATIO  door lying open, as this may have caused the bedroom door to slam.

'Oh no it wouldn't!'

She didn't check the obvious source of any draught, breeze, gust, gale which could have caused the bedroom door to slam closed - THE BEDROOM WINDOW!

Kate then, and ONLY then decided she'd just look in on the children. (She didn't look in on them in the bedroom when she first discovered the bedroom door more widely open - strange that?)

No Madeleine!

She rushed round the apartment looking for the child.

She returns to the children's bedroom.  WHOOSH, the curtains which had been closed, which met at the centre point of the window had BLOWN OPEN WIDE - sideways!  NOW NO LONGER MEETING IN THE MIDDLE!

Question Time:

  • Why did the FIRST gust of wind, strong enough to force the bedroom door to slam closed, NOT BLOW THE CURTAINS OPEN?
  • Why on this cold windy night had the curtains not blown open BEFORE Kate McCann arrived at the apartment if that bedroom window and shutter had been lying open since the alleged intruder left the building?
  • Why had the bedroom door not slammed closed BEFORE Kate McCann arrived at the apartment if that bedroom window and shutter had been lying open since the alleged intruder left the building?
  • Why would any intruder who had supposedly climbed out of the narrow window carrying a child leave the window and shutter open but CLOSE THE CURTAINS?
  • This intruder - Did he not bother to open the curtains before struggling through the open window?

IF he didn't he must have gotten in a bit of a tangle, and those curtains AFTER he climbed through would NOT be meeting in the middle at the centre point as stated by Kate McCann!

  • Did this guy open the curtains, climb out and then reach back in again to close them, to tidy them up, make sure they once more 'met in the middle?'   And they just remained that way on this cold dark windy night, until Kate McCann arrived?

OF COURSE HE DIDN'T!  AND OF COURSE THE CURTAINS DIDN'T!

Why would he?   There is NOT a feasible or logical reason in the world for an intruder to have done so.

To have opened curtains, window shutter, climbed out and then reached in again to close the curtains, but leave the window and shutter open?

Only in Kate McCanns dreams!

Kate McCanns story of the jemmied open window and shutter had to be retracted publicly by their lying spokesman Clarence Mitchell quite simply because it WAS NOT TRUE.

Time to wheel Clarence out again for another retraction?    BECAUSE Kate McCanns curtain story sure in hell is but another McCann fabrication!

Apart from anything else in this story by Kate McCann, is that IF she saw that bedroom door more widely open than she had left it which she said was her reason for approaching the bedroom door, to close it over, ANY MOTHER in those circumstances would have looked in that bedroom immediately, in case MADELEINE, the child who could get out of bed had done exactly that.

Kate McCann didn't bother!

When the gust blew the door closed she didn't bother either at that point to check the bedroom window the most obvious source of any gust of wind blowing that door slam shut.

She said the room was dark so could not make out if Madeleine was in her bed, so went to the top of the bed?

How come if the window and shutter were up (which we have been led to believe made the bedroom lighter) and the bedroom door was open, clearly wide open now, as Kate McCann has walked inside, and with the light from the sitting room lamp now streaming through the wide open door - how come Kate McCann said it was dark and she could not make out if Madeleine was there?

IF THAT WINDOW AND SHUTTER WERE LYING WIDE OPEN, ON THIS COLD WINDY NIGHT, AND THAT BEDROOM DOOR WAS ALSO OPEN, WHEN KATE MCCANN ENTERED THROUGH THE PATIO DOOR SHE WOULD IMMEDIATELY HAVE FELT THE APARTMENT TO BE COLD!

AS SHE APPROACHED THE MORE WIDE OPEN BEDROOM DOOR SHE WOULD HAVE FELT IT COLD, FELT THE DRAUGHT, BREEZE FROM THAT BEDROOM.

SHE DIDN'T - NOT IN HER STORY!

AND INTERESTINGLY - NEITHER DID OLDFIELD.

What was it DCI Redwood said?

"The ONLY physical disturbance we see in the McCann apartment is a window! "

  • That would be the window that WAS NOT JEMMIED OPEN, but opened from the inside.
  • The window with ONLY Kate McCanns fingerprints.
  • The window draped with the magic whooshing curtains?

An open bedroom door, open window and open shutter, but CLOSED CURTAINS?

And the mighty Metropolitan Police, the 30 super de duper detectives who make up Operation Grange are buying this?

Operation Deranged!

Wonder if DCI Redwoods Crecheman saw the closed curtains?

But that's another story for another time!

Lying like rugs?
Spinning Like Tops?
Running Like Villains?
Years going by like days!
