Digging Deeper Met 2015

Digging Deeper - Met - 2015

Well that is what we all hope will happen when the new DCI in charge of the Metropolitan Police Investigation gets started - that the Met dig deeper!

Dig deeper into Gerry McCanns story!

The day after McCann reported his daughter Madeleine as missing he told the police he had checked on his children, who were alone in a holiday apartment around 9 pm.

He stated he entered the apartment by the front door which was locked, and which he opened with his key.

Seven days after telling Portuguese Police this story he gave a second witness statement.

In this statement he COMPLETELY changed his story.

His claim now was that he had entered the holiday apartment by an unlocked patio door at the opposite side of the apartment from the front door.

How can that be?

A daddy who went to check on his three under 4 year old kids whom had left alone in a dark and scary holiday apartment and he forgot forgot which door he used to access the apartment to check on them?

Just not possible!

But which of Gerry McCanns stories is the true one - the first or the second?

Will DCI Wall get to the bottom of Gerry McCanns story?

Let's look at the two tales.

Story Number One -
He entered the apartment by the front door which was locked.  He used his key to open it.

  • From the bar where he was dining the route to the front door of the apartment would take him, through a pathway at the grounds of the tapas bar, towards a covered reception area which he would pass through, exiting, and turning left out onto the open street.

  • From there he would walk uphill towards the holiday apartment which was situated on the same side of the road.  He had no requirement to leave the footpath/pavement to cross a road.

  • On the way to the FRONT DOOR, he would PASS the SIDE gate of the apartment which led to the patio door.

  • From there he would continue to the top of the road (a T Junction) there he would veer left.

  • Walk a few yards, then cross a car park.

  • At the other side of the car park was a little opening which allowed him to access a footpath.

  • The footpath ran along in front of the bedroom windows of the apartments.

  • He would walk this footpath passing the shuttered bedroom window of the room his three children lay sleeping.

  • He then would have reached his destination - THE FRONT LOCKED DOOR.

  • Once the door was unlocked, he entered onto a little hallway.

  • At the end of the hallway he would require to turn right.  Then and ONLY then would the bedroom door of the room the children slept come into view.

He claims it was more widely open than he had left it, and this attracted his attention.  This was his reason for going into the bedroom to look at his children.

Something he said he had never done on any previous check on his kids on any other of the nights he had left them alone.

Story Number Two
He entered the apartment through the unlocked patio door

  • From the bar where he was dining the route to the patio door would take him, through a pathway at the grounds of the tapas bar towards a covered reception area which he would pass through, exiting, and turning left out onto the open street.

  • From there he would walk uphill towards the holiday apartment which was situated on the same side of the road.  He had no requirement to leave the footpath/pavement to cross a road.

  • Midway between the reception doorway, where he had exited, and the top of the road (the T. Junction) he would reach the GATE to the side entrance of the apartment, which led to the PATIO door entrance.

  • On reaching the gate, he would climb a narrow flight of stairs.  At the top of this stairway was another gate, a child safety gate which McCann claimed was locked.

  • After unlocking the gate he would find himself on a small patio area, the patio door to the apartment was located here.

  • On opening this (unlocked) patio door he would slide it open, step insid into the sitting area of the apartment.

  • The door to the children's bedroom would be almost directly in front of him.

When we speak of Gerry McCann changing his story, stating he entered by one door, then changing this to having entered by another door, we do not get the full understanding of what he is expecting anyone to believe until we see it detailed out.

If we consider both stories, Story One, and Story Two, it would be hard for anyone to understand how he could have gotten confused. How he would not have realised until SEVEN days after telling the first story that he had gotten it wrong!

Quite clearly not a police authority in the land could be taken in by Gerry McCanns TWO tales!

Both routes from the tapas bar where he was dining to the holiday apartment are pretty involved, very distinct differences, in the route, and in how he would actually access either door.

Not something a parent could forget no matter which route they took no matter which door they entered by.

Absolutely impossible I am sure all will agree, to forget which door he used.

And when we add in, the fact that this was the FIFTH night he had been leaving these kids alone - and factor in also, his claim the he and his wife Kate McCann were checking on the kids every half hour (so around at least 4 or 5 times a night, for 5 nights up to and including the night they claimed Madeleine vanished)...

How is it at all possible then for McCann to not have remembered, when the police questioned him which was the correct door?

It simply is NOT possible.

The most precious little people in the world to him, his two year old twin children and his three year old daughter, AND HE FORGOT WHICH DOOR HE USED!

CHANGED HIS STORY SEVEN DAYS AFTER GIVING POLICE HIS FIRST ACCOUNT?

Gotta be one of the biggest red flags in this whole sorry affair!

One of the biggest lies!

I do hope DCI Nicola Walls will tackle this as it is ONE of the major items in the Gerry McCanns statements which makes no sense, which is beyond belief or understanding.

Perhaps if DCI Wall has not addressed this by the time of the 8TH Anniversary, then Lorraine will do so when McCanns next sit on her sofa?

This guy McCann is a doctor.

It is not believable that any parent in the same circumstances would forget which door they used to check on their children.

That a doctor - who we would have to assume had excellent short term memory - who had for FIVE nights been hopping back and forth to this apartment on a half hourly basis to check on his kids, should forget how he accessed that holiday apartment, and REQUIRED to make a MAJOR change to his story SEVEN DAYS after supplying police with his first statement would have aroused the suspicion of ANY POLICE OFFICER IN ANY COUNTRY!

Why the Metropolitan Police seemingly have paid it no attention?

Let's face it, if DCI Andy Redwood could not figure which door Gerry McCann got in and out of that apartment, how in hell was he ever going to discover which door an alleged burglar used?

Let us hope 2015 is the year of breakthrough in this case.  The year where the Metropolitan Police come clean as to what is going on.

If not, stop spending the taxpayers money on what appears to many a farce of an investigation, put an end to it.
