"The team at Sky News followed its editorial guidelines and pursued a story in a responsible manner that we believed was firmly in the public interest"

Sky quite clearly do not obtain hard evidence of any claims made by the McCanns, before said claims become part of their news items, else we would not have had the ridiculous stories of the last few days of the McCann search for Madeleine being hindered.
The above statement by 'the team at Sky' was released in relation to the death of B. Leyland (and which I wrote a blog about at that time. Link above) The claims made against this lady were untrue. But Sky, McCanns, Gamble, and others, Summers and Swann, still saw fit to put together the programme which they did (Martin Brunt's Special Report) their story on rolling news also, not forgetting their shameless promotion of an outrageous book by Summers and Swann.
It is interesting that Sky felt their story at that time was responsible and FIRMLY IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.
Do we take it that once more they felt it was firmly in the public interest and ON BEHALF OF THE McCANNS, to cover a story WITHOUT any proof or EVIDENCE of the claims being made by the McCanns, that their search (?) for their daughter has been hampered?
The Court as I said previously threw out the McCanns claims that Dr Amaral, his book had hindered their investigation, that it had stopped people searching for Madeleine. McCanns could not provide the Court with a shred of evidence to back their claim.
What evidence does Sky have to support this latest claim by McCanns?
NONE is the short answer as there is no McCann search!
IT IS FIRMLY IN PUBLIC INTEREST THAT 'THE SKY TEAM' PRODUCE THE EVIDENCE WHICH SUPPORTS THE CLAIMS MADE BY THE McCANNS, OR RETRACTS THE STATEMENT MADE BY THEM (SKY) IN THIS REGARD IN THEIR TELEVISED REPORT, SKY NEWS, ON 6th OCTOBER 2015, ISSUING A REVISED AND UPDATED STATEMENT WHEREIN SKY CLARIFIES FOR THE PUBLIC THE TRUTH OF MATTERS.
Reporting the McCann claim is one thing - Not producing the proof in support of their claim, somewhat misleads the public, leaving them to believe there is truth in this latest claim made by the McCanns.
Just as Sky failed to report honestly, in a responsible manner regarding Brenda Leyland, and most doubtful they followed editorial guidelines (Sky stating they believed they had does not make it a fact) it seems they have once more chosen to take that same path in their reporting of this latest McCann nonsense.
